How many times in a day do you call yourself fat? How many times do you call others fat or find yourself disgusted with your own body, because you’re comparing yourself to others or where you used to be? Don’t worry you’re not alone. I do it. You do it. We all do it. That doesn’t make it ok.

An epidemic of body shame and hate is not ok! You cannot hate yourself into making a healthy lifestyle. So, I propose we challenge this thought process. Self-loathing hasn’t gotten us anywhere, but depression and secret binges on Ben and Jerry’s. Why? Because, we can’t be perfect. No matter how hard we try we will always make mistakes and we have to quit hating ourselves for those tiny mistakes.

 

 

So, here’s my challenge. No more F-Word. There is nothing useful about that word, so you cannot use the word “FAT,” when referring to yourself or others. It doesn’t belong in your vocabulary anymore. It isn’t who you are. You are not degrading and belittling yourself by choice from here on out, therefore you are not using that word. And every time that you find yourself using it verbally or even in your thoughts, replace it with another.

  1. Beautiful
  2. Loved
  3. Strong
  4. Graceful
  5. Forgiving
  6. Incredible
  7. Determined
  8. Relentless
  9. Ambitious
  10. Happy
  11. Great Legs
  12. Awesome Smile

What I want to see is women be truly healthy from the inside out. Women that are passionate, confident, and fierce.

I am FIERCE: extreme in degree, power, or effect; having or showing a bold forcefulness in the pursuit of a goal.

 

The only F Word you’re allowed to use  when talking to/about yourself is “FIERCE.” That’s who you are, nothing less. Don’t settle for anything less!!!

No one ever made a difference by being silent.

And if we find out that we would rather go back to hating ourselves and bashing our bodies, we can always revert back to it. I’m going to go out on a limb and bet that you won’t choose the latter.
